YPC International College | Affordable Quality UK Degree

COLLABORATION

YPC International College's degree programmes are in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), in Liverpool UK, a university that is ranked as top 100 in The Times Higher Education World University Rankings of universities below 50 years. LJMU degrees are well received in the marketplace.

In April 2015, Kolej Teknologi YPC-iTWEB signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with LJMU that opened a new chapter of partnership of a direct pathway to a UK degree from its foundation programme. Beginning from September 2015, students who have successfully completed a one-year Foundation Programme at YPC International College will have the option of continuing a three-year degree programme at LJMU. They will be exempted from doing the A-level programme, and they do not need to apply through University & Colleges Admission Service (UCAS).

YPC International College's students who wish to further their three-year degree programme in the United Kingdom are able to choose from more than 19 Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science programmes from LJMU (See appendix #).

With its historical and cultural links to Malaysia, the UK has always been a preferred country of higher education. Liverpool, touted as the European Capital of Culture, is a safe and conducive city for living and studying. There are approximately 24,000 students living in the city that is accessible and within walking distance to many facilities.

YPC International College has a comprehensive pastoral care system where students are taken care of the moment they set foot in Liverpool. There would be pickups from airports and student's accommodations are available within the vicinity of the university. YPC International College counsellors would keep in constant contact with the students to ensure that they have moral, pastoral and education support.

Below are words from LJMU addressing to students studying at their partner organisations such as YPC International College.

“We would like to extend a warm welcome to Liverpool John Moores University. As a student studying on an LJMU programme in one of our partner organisations your learning experience has been approved by the University. We expect your educational experience to be equivalent to attending a programme of study here at the University. While your location will be different, the academic standards of your programme are expected to be equivalent. The University has in place a number of processes to ensure this for you and remains in close contact with your organisation throughout your programme.

You may be studying on a programme belonging to your institution with the opportunity to progress onto an LJMU programme. In this scenario the University has approved your organisation’s programme as equivalent to studying on a University programme. The decision as to which level of the University programme you will progress to have been approved by LJMU.

We work closely with your institution to ensure you have all the help you need to achieve your qualification. You will be introduced early in the academic year to your LJMU link tutor who works with your programme team. We are looking forward to seeing you achieve your qualification and attending, if possible, our graduation ceremony.

Your progression and success are very important to us so please remember that we’re here to assist you throughout your journey with us.”
